Thank You for visiting our Web site

Hooked On Palms,
We specialize in cold hardy palms, bananas, bamboo, and other exotic plants that can survive the winters in Western Oregon and Western Washington. I have personally been growing, and studying cold hardy palm trees since 1983. We pride ourselves on knowing and understanding the microclimates on the west coast and in the Pacific Northwest.

A lot of people move to Washington and Oregon from warmer climates and want to plant palm trees in their yards. With over 2,500 varieties of palms to choose from, in most cases people purchase the wrong varieties for the area they live in, and the palms don't survive. It is not uncommon for the big box stores to stock a palm like a Mexican fan palm in this area and they just will not survive most of our  Pacific NW winters. We have studied many palm trees, and can Help you select a palm that will grow in your area.
Count on Hooked On Palms
to help you bring a little bit of the tropics to your home.

Feel free to contact us with your Palm questions. (see the "Contact us" page on this site or click on this link  http://www.hookedonpalms.com/contactus.html ).  We can forward information to you as to the best Palm tree for your location and the best way to plant your palm.

As you browse our web site you will see pictures of many of the more cold hardy varieties that can survive in USDA zones 7A, 7B, 8A & 8B.
